Ohio Opportunity Scholarship – Senate Bill 85

Information Meeting Parma Heights

You are invited to attend an informational meeting at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, May 19 at Holy Name High School. 6000 Queens Highway, Parma Heights, Ohio 44130 to learn more about the Ohio Opportunity Scholarship (Senate Bill 85).

If passed the Ohio Opportunity Scholarship would give middle and low income families the opportunity to choose a private school for their children’s education. Scholarships would be worth up to $5,000 for elementary and $7,500 for high school tuition. Families with a household income at or below 400% of the poverty level would be eligible. For example a family of four earning $98,400 would qualify.

Ohio Senator Matt Huffman, the sponsor of the bill, will be at the meeting to talk about how this bill will increase access to quality education to a new level in Ohio.

School families, parishioners, teachers, school advisory councils and parish finance councils should all attend to learn more about this chance for a Catholic education for the children in our community.
